Speakers:

Stéphanie POCHON is a specialist in strategic communications, EU regulation and the European Parliament. She advises large companies, trade associations and SMEs in the areas of gambling, copyrights, ICT, transport and energy. She has significant experience engaging with EU decision-makers and the European media around key pieces of legislation and has carried out a number of communications campaigns on sensitive dossiers.

Before joining g+ in 2004, Stéphanie spent time in the press and communications service of the French Embassy in Washington DC and worked for the Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission.

She graduated from the College of Europe in Bruges and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Strasbourg. She also read business diplomacy at Georgetown University, Washington DC for a year. Stéphanie now teaches a seminar on EU lobbying at Sciences Po Paris. In addition to her native French, she is fluent in English and is learning Spanish.

Giles KEANE (Acumen Public Affairs). He is a partner at Acumen, Giles has 10 years of wide-ranging experience in public affairs and corporate communications. Giles’ strength lies in his ability to combine traditional public affairs with media relations and other disciplines to provide integrated communications counsel to his clients. His experience in his current role at Acumen Public Affairs and his previous position as a Director at Hill & Knowlton running the International Corporate Communications practice mean he is perfectly placed to advise you on how to get the job you want in EU Affairs.

Andras BANETH is the Director of the European Training Institute. Until 2010 he worked as a senior civil servant in the European Institutions, occupying various key positions and gaining a unique expertise in EU decision-making, comitology and online communication. He has 10 years experience in European policies, an in-depth understanding of EU decision-making and years of experience from EU institutions. András is the author of Europe’s best-selling EU recruitment book, The Ultimate EU Test Book and senior partner at Arboreus Online EU Training.
